Bourne Methodist Church

There has been a church on the grounds of Mill Street Church since 1840. The current church is the fourth to be built on the land and is the youngest church in the Cannock Chase Circuit.

It is situated just out of the Cannock town centre surrounded fairly closely by retail shops and a supermarket.

As well as holding Sunday morning services once a fortnight, with a small regular congregation, the church is also used by the community. We have a musical society who use it for practising; a local art group; and St John's Ambulance for their weekly activities.

Also on a Wednesday lunchtime there is the provision of a Soup Kitchen as part of the Mission
and Outreach of the church, which provides meals for a variety of local people, some who live on their own in the adjoining flats; some people who are struggling financially and those who are homeless. A hot meal is provided for donations if offered.

Sunday Services take place at 11.00am on the first and third Sunday of each month. We also celebrate Holy Communion once a month, and each service is followed by tea and coffee in the
adjoining church hall..
