Cannock and District Foodbank
On behalf of Cannock & District Foodbank, I wondered if you would be kind enough to consider making food donations this Harvest Festival, to Cannock & District Foodbank. The foodbank would be most grateful if you could possibly forward this request to anyone in the Circuit who may be in a position to donate food to Coniston Hall, Chadsmoor or to Penkridge Methodist Church warehouses? Some Churches may even wish to consider a Virtual Harvest this year in light of Covid-9 restrictions, as are many schools in the area.
You will be aware that many Churches in the past have been able to offer support to Cannock and District local foodbank. We would be most grateful if Churches are having Harvest Festivals this year that food donations be delivered to Coniston Hall, Cecil Street, Chadsmoor WS11 5HG open Monday – Friday 10am – 3pm; alternatively, to Penkridge Methodist Church by contacting me as below. However, if a collection is required, this will be on a Tuesday or Thursday, please provide me with your details, email or telephone number, and we can contact you with an appropriate time.
The current food shortages at Food Bank are currently as follow:
Cartons of long-life milk; Tea, Coffee, sugar, squash
Tinned meat and fish
Tinned puddings: sponges, rice pudding, fruits, various
We are of course grateful for all donations particularly this year where we have seen an increase in the need for food banks due to the implications that Covid 19 has had on the vulnerable in our society. Donations of money are always welcome. Churches may prefer to offer a one-off donation or a regular donation to the 200 Club, details of which I can provide. Donations received ensure that shortages of certain foods can be purchased and foodbank bills paid. We very much appreciate what you are doing in respect of supporting the Foodbank and if you need any further information please contact me.
