CIRCUIT WEEKLY PRAYER GUIDE

SUNDAY            

 

The first day of the week.  Remember and give thanks for the Resurrection of Jesus and the new life we find in Him.  Give thanks for the hope and confidence which that gives to the Church and each one of us.  Pray that we may worship in spirit and in truth, and serve in wisdom and love.

 

MONDAY 
Pray for

All who work with young people in Youth Clubs, Sunday Schools, Playgroups, Crèches, Parents and Toddlers, Girls' and Boys' Brigade, Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Brownies.  Those who work with the elderly, for Briar Hill Methodist Home.  For the work at St. Stephen's, Salem, Trinity Hednesford, Trinity Norton Canes and Upper Landywood.

 

TUESDAY
Pray for
All who work with the bereaved, those in and with special need, Hospital Chaplains, Counsellors, especially our Church members who are engaged in this work professionally or as volunteers.  For the World Church, Network and Regnal.  The ministry of care given at Hob Hill CE/Methodist School, Brereton.  The work at Bethel, Bourne, Brereton and Burntwood.

 

WEDNESDAY
Pray for
Those at work, those in education and training, especially those who are starting in a new school or college; the Circuit Ministers, Supernumeraries and Ministers’ widows.  The work at Calf Heath, Cannock Wood, Chadsmoor, Chase Terrace and Chasetown.

 

THURSDAY
Pray for
The meetings and organisations within our churches, their leaders and helpers, especially those within your own church.  For opportunities to share our faith with others.  The Circuit Stewards, and Circuit Treasurer.  The work at Featherstone, Florence Street, Great Wyrley Wesley and Handsacre.

 

FRIDAY
Pray for
The Pastoral Assistants in our Circuit, Officers in our churches and those who serve in other ways, the Circuit Committees, the work at Mill Street, Penkridge and St. Paul's.

 

SATURDAY
Pray for
Any special events being held today.  For worship tomorrow - for all accredited preachers planned to take Services and for those who can no longer do so, those on note, on trial and for the Worship Leaders.  Those reading or assisting in the services, the organists, the Choirs and Church Stewards.  Help us to make worship meaningful, challenging and through worship deepen our commitment to JESUS OUR LORD.
